File Preparation & Submission

What types of files can I submit for printing?

We accept PDF files created in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, QuarkXPress, and CorelDRAW. We also accept high-resolution images created in Adobe Photoshop (JPG, PSD, EPS) or data created in Adobe Illustrator (AI, EPS). Please be sure to review our data checklist before uploading your files to ensure a smooth production process.

Do you accept documents made with Microsoft Word or Excel?

I’m afraid not. MS-Office data is not print data.

What is bleed?

All print data must have a 3mm area that extends beyond the cut line to allow for discrepancies during the final trimming process. This is known as the bleed. Please see a tutorial on bleed for more information.

I don't know how to add bleed to my data - can you do it for me?

Sure! Let our technicians know, and they will be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

I cannot save in CMYK mode - can you convert it for me?

Yes, we can. However, please note that working in RGB and converting to CMYK at the last minute can lead to significant color shifts, as the CMYK color gamut is smaller than RGB. For projects where color accuracy is critical, we recommend ordering a Sample Proof to ensure the final print matches your expectations and to avoid any last-minute issues.

What is the difference between RGB and CMYK?

RGB refers to the primary colors of light—Red, Green, and Blue—which are used in monitors, TV screens, and most electronic devices. CMYK, on the other hand, refers to the primary colors of pigment—Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black—used in 4-color process printing, also known as full-color printing.

When you combine RGB values, the result is white light. However, when you combine CMYK values, the result is black. This difference in how colors are created makes it impossible for a printing press to reproduce exactly the same colors we see on a screen.

Do I need to send you my business card 8-up or 10-up?

No problem! Simply send us your files as a single layout, and we’ll take care of the data setup on our end.

Do you have templates to help me design my project correctly?

Our Design Templates page features a list of available templates. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to contact our Customer Support team with your required dimensions, and we’ll create a custom template for you.

Returns, Refunds & Customer Services

I made a mistake with my order, can I cancel?

If you need to cancel your order for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible after placing it.

I received my order, but I found a mistake. Can I get a reprint?

If there is a printing error on our part, we will reprint your order at no additional cost to you. However, if the error is due to poorly prepared data or client-side production mistakes, Print Al Arab will not be held responsible, and any reprints will be at your expense. I received my order, but I am not happy with how the colours came out. Can I get a reprint?

While we make every effort to achieve the best possible color reproduction, due to the nature of the printing process, we cannot guarantee an exact match in color or texture between photographs, transparencies, proofs, digital files, and the final printed product. Each print run is carefully checked for color accuracy, consistency, and density by our technicians, but this does not guarantee that your specific job will print exactly as you expect. A screen proof and the final printed product can often differ. The data setup, paper type, and finishes also significantly influence the final appearance of your colors. For critical color accuracy, we recommend ordering a Sample Proof to avoid any potential disappointment.

How do I find the products I am looking for?

What kind of papers do you use?

We offer a diverse selection of premium-quality European papers sourced from Italy, Spain, and Asia. Most of our paper stocks are categorized into three types: glossy, matte, and wood-free varieties. To explore our full range, feel free to request a paper sample book and see the quality for yourself.

Can you show me your papers?

We certainly can! Simply fill out the paper samples request form, and we’ll send you our welcome pack right to your doorstep.

What’s the difference between all the papers?

Glossy paper has a shiny finish and is coated on both sides, offering excellent color reproduction. Matt paper, on the other hand, has a non-reflective coating, giving printed areas a semi-shiny look while the unprinted (white) areas remain completely matte. Wood-free papers are uncoated and absorb a small amount of ink, resulting in slightly muted, flatter colors. These papers are perfect for items that require writing, as they offer a smooth, writable surface.

What kind of inks do you print with?

Print Al Arab uses vegetable oil-based printing inks, sourced from soy, palm, and other vegetable oils. We choose these inks as an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative to traditional petroleum-based inks, helping to reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining high-quality prints.

Can you print Pantone or other spot colors?

We specialize in full-color CMYK printing, offering affordable printing by combining multiple orders on large press sheets using our four-color CMYK presses. Please note that we do not offer Pantone spot colors. If you require metallic gold or silver inks, feel free to contact us for a custom quote.

Can you print spot varnish, UV clear coating, or liquid foil?

Yes. There’s nothing we can’t do.

Design Services

How long will it take?

Most business card and flyer designs take about a day or two to complete. However, for larger products like folded brochures and magazines, the design timeline may vary depending on the complexity and content.

When you complete my design can I get the artwork too?

As a standard practice, we do not release our working design files. However, if you require them, we can provide the files for an additional release fee, which is 100% of the original design fee.

Delivery & Payments

Do you handle door-to-door delivery?

Yes. Deliveries within Dubai go from our factory to your door (unless otherwise specified).

How can I pay?

We accept the following payment methods: Cash on Delivery (up to 150 AED), Bank Transfer (pre-payment), and Credit Card.

How do I change the delivery address after I’ve placed an order?

If you need to change the delivery address, we can usually accommodate this while your order is in the “in progress” status. Once the order is complete, changes cannot be made. If you need to update the address after the order is in production (“printing” status), please contact us with the new address. A service fee of 5 AED will apply, along with any additional delivery charges (if outside Dubai).

Where do you deliver to?

We offer delivery to anywhere in the UAE, GCC, or nearby countries. Please contact us for a custom quotation based on your location and requirements.
